GreenCity Lofts
Emeryville/Oakland, CA

62 loft condominiums in 5 buildings are grouped around landscaped courtyards over structured parking. This project is one of the largest sustainably designed multi-family developments in the nation. The principal objectives of the sustainability program are infill brownfield redevelopment, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality.

The buildings blend into the hybrid residential/industrial neighborhood through a combination of varied massing, industrial materials, gable roofs, and front stoops. The open plan interiors with high ceilings and large expanses of glass are reflective of the live/work typology.
